Jason Gone Camping but Robert Dryden has offered to do a hike at Cedar Falls.

This is a Moderate to Difficult Hike depending on your hiking condition.

The hike is 5 miles round trip at 1800' elevation gain and drop.

Temps will start out low 50s and climb to 70s at the hiking location.

Cedar Springs Trail reaches Pacific Crest and starts to descend. Here, you get great views of the Coachella Valley. The trail dips into a cool grove of trees, climbs out and makes another descent, finally arriving at Cedar Springs. This pleasant flat area, shaded by pines, oaks and cedars, is also a popular campground and the turnaround point. The trail does, however, continue beyond, becoming the Jo Pond trail and descending all the way to the Indian canyons of Palm Springs.

Meet at the gate parking lot on the right side of 74 hwy which is the Art Smith Parking Lot.

Hike Leader is Robert Dryden

Departure is 8:00 am

Return somewhere around 1:30 pm

Bring water and snacks..
