Indio Badlands 5.5 mile loop and Moonrise Hike East Indio Hills Badlands

It kind of funny that I have never done the full 5.5 mile hike at the badlands in Indio. 

I think it is time to give it a shot for this Almost Full Moon Rise Hike. 

We will mostly be hiking in sunlight until maybe the very end of the hike. 

The Sunset Set just after 4:49 pm

and the Moon Rises just after 4:00 pm 

Bring a flashlight (just in case)
----though we may not need it. I think it will be getting dark as we finish the trail. 

Total Distance 5.5 miles  

Difficulty is Moderate

Total Ascent 900 feet  

Highest Elevation 540 feet 

We are not in a rush for this hike. We should finish close to 5 pm.
